Located on the second floor piano nobile of a Renaissance building, Anicella is the largest and most spectacular apartment in the palazzo, with beautiful canal views. Super high ceilings and stylish bespoke Italian furnishings make this a very impressive place to stay.

Property Description

The living room is stunning: classically formed with marble fireplace, original terrazzo floors, and almost 7m high ceilings, while pale grey walls with bronze stucco mouldings serve as the perfect backdrop for the contemporary styling which is used to such great effect. The furniture is Italian design and includes a custom made table by Desalto with chairs by Azucena in Rubelli fabric, while the sofa, designed by Ico Parisi and in muted shades of blue, is positioned casually on a divine pale blue wool carpet. Huge French windows and balcony overlook a charming canal.  The whole feel is one of calm and relaxation.

The Pink Bedroom: To the right of the living room is the first bedroom, with four large windows overlooking the canal and square and decorated in dove grey, while textiles are original Fortuny. High ceilings with wooden beams add to the atmosphere here, together with wooden flooring in light oak both in the bedroom and en suite bathroom, which boasts a large tub in Istrian stone.

The Blue Bedroom:The second bedroom is located to the left of the living room and has three big canal-facing windows. Also here flooring is in oak, walls are covered in Rubelli fabric, while the bed is by Felis covered with Dedar and Rubelli textiles.

A second luxurious bathroom featuring a bull’s-eye window on the canal and large shower is fitted with high-end accessories, such as Istrian stone sinks and walk-in shower, mirrors, and custom made cabinetry.

The Tapestry Bedroom: a hallway leads to a third room with twin beds and large windows facing the garden. The focus of this sleek bedroom is a beautiful Kazakh wall-tapestry with floral designs. An independent hallway leads to the third bathroom with walk in shower.

The hallway also leads to a dine-in kitchen. Both spaces face the garden and canal and have light oak floors. The spacious kitchen overlooks the palace’s inner courtyard.

The apartment’s design features a combination of materials ranging from corian (used for the kitchen’s central island), to oxidised brass, as well as stained steel and glass. An harmonious palette of muted greys and blues is used for the bedrooms’ accessories to offset the neutral colours of the apartment. Draperies and cushions are in precious hand-painted fabrics by Fortuny and Rubelli, while accessories include Murano glass designer fixtures and chandeliers. For lighting, a mix of floor lamps, lamp sets, and indirect illumination is used to create different degrees and effects. The vibe is contemporary with the use of geometrical and clear lines softened by local accents in the use of glass and traditional embroidered textiles.

This area features some of the city’s most important monuments such as the Frari Church, the Scuola di San Rocco and the Carmini church. Filled with, restaurants and bars, this section of town is nicely populated by young families and has a very local Venetian feel, with good food shops and artisan ateliers. Piazza San Marco can be reached on foot in approximately 20 minutes.
